Bairnsdale Lions Club History

The Lions Club of Bairnsdale was chartered on October 11th 1969 with 25 charter members.

Regrettably due to insufficient volunteer members, Bairnsdale Lions Club will cease operations on or before June 30th 2026.

Existing fundraising events will continue until the end of June and all funds will be distributed amongst charities and not for profit organisations.

Bairnsdale Lions is a team of ordinary people that will miss their ability to achieve extraordinary things within the community.

Please send any and all enquiries to bairnsdalelions@gmail.com for action.

Bairnsdale Lions Club Meetings

The Club meets on the 1st & 3rd Thursday evenings of each month, at the Bairnsdale Bowls Club.  Club meetings are dinner meetings where members, if they wish to have a meal, order and pay for themselves from the Bowls Club menu.

Often guest speakers contribute to interesting and varied evenings.

Visitors are always welcome and there are meetings and other events throughout the year, where friends and family are invited!

One thing all Lions have in common is together they are making an incredible difference.

  • Membership applications are welcome from all members of the community.
  • Clubs may either provide service or raise money for their community.
  • 100% of funds donated by the public through fundraising, support local, national and international community activities.
