Bairnsdale Lions Club History

The Lions Club of Bairnsdale was chartered on October 11th 1969 with 25 charter members. Currently in excess of 20 women and men enjoy the fellowship and service of the Bairnsdale Lions Club.

Over the last 50 years Bairnsdale Lions have performed over a hundred thousand hours of community service, raising over $1 million dollars for our community.

The Club is governed by a President and a Board of Directors, all of whom are elected by members annually in March each year. The term of office is for 12 Months commencing mid year. Two Vice Presidents coordinate the club’s activities, with all members contributing in their own way. The Board meets each month.

Bairnsdale Lions Club Meetings

The Club meets on the 1st & 3rd Thursday evenings of each month, at the Bairnsdale Bowls Club.  Club meetings are dinner meetings where members, if they wish to have a meal, order and pay for themselves from the Bowls Club menu.

Often guest speakers contribute to interesting and varied evenings.

Visitors are always welcome and there are meetings and other events throughout the year, where friends and family are invited!

One thing all Lions have in common is together they are making an incredible difference.
